Qian Chen’s expressive, colourful works feature a variety of imaginative figures. He is a dedicated artist, and works in the deepest concentration. He frequently, resolutely comments: ‘I am still trying to discover new emotions’. Chen’s supervisors are all confident that he will soon find the emotions that he seeks. Chen only started working in the studio two months ago. Upon viewing works by other artists, he experiences an almost paralysing pressure to produce works that are at least equally as impressive. Fortunately, Chen now uses this quest for betterment as a source of inspiration.
