Lenneke works in the weaving mill and art studio at Magenta (Lievegoed) in Driebergen, the Netherlands. She mostly draws using coloured pencil on 50 x 65 cm sheets of paper. Lenneke draws vivid landscapes, cityscapes and images of villages, lush gardens and mansions, but also interiors and typical cross sections of buildings. A lot of her work is drawn from a bird’s-eye perspective. It has a characteristic naïve realistic style. Lenneke usually draws from her own imagination. While fiction plays a major role in her work, it seems as if Lenneke has seen her scenes in real life. Her work has been exhibited on numerous occasions and is featured in the library programme run by Special Arts in Amersfoort, the Netherlands.
