Regillio Benjamin produces figurative and abstract art. In his figurative works, his figures appear to float – they are no longer a reflection of reality, but of his inner experiences. A dynamic world is created, alive with colour, shapes and imagination. Regillio primarily draws inspiration from his favourite sport, athletics – which he also competes in at a high level. ‘’I enjoy painting, it’s good for my concentration. I start by mixing the colours, then I apply them to the canvas. But I always make a sketch first’’, explains Regillio.
