Kaarina Staudinger-Loppukaarre was married to a farmer. After the death of her husband she lived by herself in a house in Savonlinna, famous for its opera festival in the old castle. She died at the age of 102.
Kaarina Staudinger had been having visions since she was a child and tried to express them in drawings. Her mystical work is dominated by imaginary creatures in the shape of lizards, birds or other animals.
