Jeroen Pomp

For Jeroen Pomp, the sheet needs to be completely full: fruits, animals, plants, cityscapes, cars and so on. Just like Odilon Redon, he starts at the lower right, and he ends at the top left part of the sheet. He draws everything with coloured pencil. He gains inspiration from books about themes that interest him, and then puts it on paper from a bird’s eye perspective. When you look at his work, one can feel the urge for completeness. As he draws a fruit tree with apples, the other types of fruit follow as a logical continuation of his choice to draw the apple tree. The work by Jeroen Pomp is loved by (inter)national collectors, he has his own agent in New York.
