Jan Endeveld creates his paintings by intuitively placing lines and sections onto his canvases. As he paints, he constructs an arrangement of coloured areas and shapes. His work appears nonchalant, but if you look closely, you will see that he paints a lattice of thick and thin lines through and on top of each other. This results in a balanced whole, reminiscent of buildings, cities or steel constructions.
